Research Sources

I decided to do some research on coal use and energy production. Some of the research would come from magazine articles. One magazine was Power Engineering International (PEI). PEI had an article about the coal projection for this year as well as the amount of coal used in past years. It also has articles about nuclear power plants which could be an alternative to coal based power plants.
Power Engineers would also be used. It has articles on environmental issues. There are also articles on different types of power plants.
Websites would also be used. One website, www.clydebergemann.com, had an article about increasing production and reliability in power plants while reducing costs. This could possible reduce the amount of coal consumption.
The website for the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers would also be used. This has many links to other websites about power plants.
Another website, www.bydesign.com, had many links also. It also had statistics about coal use and the history of coal.
The website for the World Coal Institute would also be used. WCI is a non-profit, non-governmental organization. This site has many facts and statistics about coal use and the amount of coal used. It also talks about the environmental effects of burning coal.
